Launch of ACF 2010 Gala Dinner at Mandarin Oriental Grand Ballroom

Working committee for Airport Schiphol Amsterdam ACF 2010, and VIPs led by Ad Rutten, Executive Vice President & CEO, Schiphol Group, His Excellency Mr. A.J.A. Embrechts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands are hosting a gala dinner at the grand ballroom in Mandarin Oriental Hotel Kuala Lumpur. Delegates and VIPs of the airline and cargo industry are present and are seen to be enjoying the evening. Some are even seen to be networking still.

The gala dinner started with a welcoming speech by Mr Enno Osinga, Senior Vice President  Cargo, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, followed by opening speech by Mr Ad Rutten and His Excellency Mr A.J.A. Embrechts. Right before the dinner is  served, the delegates are entertained by a lovely violin trio as the opening ceremony performance.

Delegates of ACF 08 had a productive day today, with conferences, Q&A session, one to one meetings and a healthy dose of mingling and networking. If you missed your opportunity today, fear not, because there is one day more of ACF 08 tomorrow. Two more sessions of talks are in store tomorrow morning, as well as press conferences and one to one sessions at the pavillions and booths in the exhibition hall. We meet again tomorrow here in KLCC covention centre !

Air Acheh fomally launches with BAE Systems ATP Turboprop

Air Acheh officials announced at ACF 08 press conference today of the launch of its new airline which will service domestic and regional market such as Banda Acheh, Medan, Lekhseumawe, Semeleu, Pekan Baru, Padang, Batam, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Penang. Air Acheh is owned 51% by the Autonomous Province of Acheh, Indonesia, and the rest of the share is owned by Able Sky Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian based company. The management team will be headed by CEO Fauzi Ayob and the fleet shall consist of several turboprop airplanes, helicopters and a BAe 146-300. Air Acheh will be operational in December 2008.
